How long could you survive on your own in the wild?

I think that depends on where and when. In Canada, apart from winter I think I'd be ok. In somewhere like Australia I'd be screwed. I think I'd be ok for quite awhile. I know what you're meant to do, how to make a fire with sticks, how to make shelter etc. even in the snow (quinzee!). Living in the mountains for several years gives you insight on certain things like avalanches and wildlife but I don't know how it would go down when I actually had to survive in it.

The main problems would be that a) I'm asthmatic and damp/cold weather could literally be the death of me sans inhaler or coffee and b) I'm vegetarian. Although if it were a life & death choice I don't think I'd feel the guilt of it but by the time I got to that point I don't know how effective I'd be at catching anything. See the end of 'In the Wild' to know what I'm talking about.

lol only Brownies. I don't know why but I've had to do it in school, etc for several classes. Maybe it's a Canada thing. I don't know. Underneath this pink exterior, I'm really quite butch. lol
