That's a hard question actually. I'm obsessed with every historical era at one point or another. However, there's always something from that period that worse off than what we have now. I love the music and fashion of the 20s to early 60s but I don't know if I would actually want to live there. I think it'd be hard to come from woman living in 2009 to a woman living in 1939 where you have little to no say in your own life. I mean, I'd want the hairstyle and the makeup but beyond that who knows?
I'm currently obsessed with turn of the century France. However, I'd only like to stay there if like Gigi I meet my own Gaston.
My obsession with this movie is becoming a concern. I actually want to make petit fours just so I can watch this movie and eat petit fours. That's not right. I also am liking the sound of a having a daughter named Gigi. That's just plan ridiculous (no offense to all the Gigis out there).
p.s. MJ's 'This is It' is amazing! I expected nothing less.

It's impossible to pick just one. I have so many memories related to his music. I remember walking around singing Beat It and my neighbour asked me to replace the word 'funky' with something that didn't offend her like 'banana'. I tried it to be polite, said no and continued on my way. I was only four. lol. I made up dance routines to my Bad tape in the front yard and I went roller skating as a special treat because I was a patrol and got really excited when 'Remember the Time' came on. lol.
He was just such an enormous part of my childhood and I was still a die hard buying History and Number Ones even though I had all the other albums. I could never have predicted how shocked I still feel over 12 hours later. I always believed in him and I was so hoping that the London dates were just the beginning of an amazing comeback. It seems so tragic that he's going out like this. I am terrified of what we're going to learn in the coming weeks. I'm bracing myself for it. |
